This horror animation film combines two individually produced animated films by animation artist Saku SAKAMOTO, “ARAGNE: Sign of Vermillion (Aragne no Mushikago)”
and “Feast of Amrita (Amrita no Kyouen)”
which have been screened at prominent
international film festivals such as Annecy and Sitges, and re-edited from a new perspective.
Set in a huge housing complex, the film depicts a terrifying drama involving a mysterious life form called “Ghost Bugs”.
The voice cast features two of popular voice actresses, Kana HANAZAWA and Maaya UCHIDA, in lead roles.
Japanese horror multi-creator Osamu FUKUTANI, creator of the NitendoDS horror game “Twilight Syndrome: Forbidden Urban Legend,” is the general director of the film.

Synopsis

A residential building stands on the outskirts of town.
A college girl named Rin has moved into one of the room in the building. One night, she sees a huge insect coming out of the arm of a woman. She goes to a library, and learnes that they are called “Ghost Bugs”, and have existed since ancient times. Rin attempts to unravel the mystery of the Ghost Bugs, but this is only the prelude to a new form of terror...

On her way home from school, together with classmates, a high school girl named Tamahi witnesses the fall off of someone from the rooftop of a gigantic apartment building that stands before them.
Panicked and confused, Tamahi and her classmates rush to the place of the fall inside the apartment building, but there is no trace of anyone.
As she wonders about this, she begins feeling uneasily watched and strange presences around her…….
