The first horror anime film sponsored by "cowai," "The Feast of Amrita" (directed by Saku Sakamoto, voiced by Maaya Uchida), won the Best Feature Film Award (Grand Prix) at the 7th Animotion Film Festival 2024 held in Florence, Italy.
This is the first time in history that a Japanese director has won the Grand Prix for a feature film.

In the past, the festival has screened outstanding short films such as Academy Award-nominated "Garden Party," "Negative Space," and "Daughter," as well as feature films such as Japanese films such as "In This Corner of the World" and "Mirai," and the Latvian film "Away," which was also released in Japan. In addition to winning the Grand Prix, "Amrita no Feast" has won the Audience Award at the Tbilisi International Animation Film Festival, the Best Animated Film award at the New York Philip K. Dick Film Festival, been nominated for one of the three major animation film festivals, the Zagreb International Animation Film Festival, and was officially selected for the world's highest fantastic film festival, the Sitges Catalan International Film Festival, and the Fantasia International Film Festival, the largest genre film festival in North America, and has been screened at film festivals all over the world, garnering acclaim.
